It does not matter what Mubashir Luqman says becuase at the end the public will decide. This is the beauty of Cinema but I am still surprised by his comments. He should be supporting the likes of Ajab Gul instead of putting him down.
Standard you right he also has to release his film PPP and the fact is that all the directors from T.V have failed at film making.

Hats of to Reema because over the last few years she has totally transformed herself. In this respect she has left behind all her fellow female artists be it from film or T.V.
She has changed her image and it shows be it her make-up, hairstyle, clothes, her spoken urdu/English, her Knowledge on a number of issues, she has become well read and can conduct herself in public. As a major film star she did not need to do all this and especially in a country like ours where most of our artists just sit back and make hay.
Couple of years ago most people had written her of as a film artist but since last year she has gone on to better and bigger things. She was on the front cover on a number of big fashion glossies, her tour to India was very Successful, appeared in a number of top commericals, was invited to a number of Bollywood award functions and above all started directing her own film and has recently even done a course in film making.
Do we any other female artist in Pakistan who has all done this in a short period. What I do like about her she has become very mature in her outlook. She is doing all the right things currently and is becoming a some what perfectionist.
No wonder most people reckon that she is the perfect ambassador for our country especially the way she has conducted herself on a number of foreign tours.

Some bad news regarding "Khuda kay Liye" because both Junaid Jumshed and Ali Zafar have decided not to work in the film any more according to the Urdu daily "Khabrain".
First it was Shaan who refused to work. Junaid has decided not to work after all the threats over his beard and also said no on the advice of the Tablighi Jamaat.
Ali Zafar has also decided not to work because of the treats by extremist religious parties.
Salman ahmad might do Junaid's role now but Shoaib Mansoor has to find somebody else for the main hero's role and shoot all the film again from scratch.
This is very sad that extremists are hell bent on destroying our nation. What service are they doing to Islam by these actions.
One still hopes that this film does get made but I am having my doubts. Shoaib Mansoor should not back down and complete is project.

Agree with Paki Lion. These are the people who are destroying our religion. Islam is such a simple and straight forward religion. There is no compulsion in our wonderful religion.
Majority of these people are uneducated and don't even now the true teachings of the Holy Quran but they all follow the mullahs.
Firstly it was the fatwa against Meera and Know this. No wonder we are becoming the laughing stock of the world.
It looks like our so called mullahs don't have anything else to do.

This is totally crazy. What Junaid Jamshed does with his beard is entirely his choice. No wonder in a society like ours performing arts especially the film industry cannot flourish.

The release date is 29th April 2005 but according to Gujjar 302 it got released last year. Gujjar 302 is probably getting too much of Saima Khan and is not thinking straight.

Agree with standard the picture quality of new and old films is excellent especially the new ones. On the down side there is too much emphasis on new punjabi films and not many Urdu films are being shown but films like zevar which was shown today and Jannat ki talash are nice additions.
Still a very good channel representing the film Industry and can't wait for it to come to the UK.

Can't understand whats wrong with Sangeeta because in the past she made some wonderful movies. This really hurts when a good director continues to make trashy movies especially when the industry needs good flicks.
Agree, on current form she should be banned.
Standard all my cousins in Pakistan have totally disliked even a film like Salakhain. They begged me not to see it but I have seen it twice. Yaar, everyone here in Pakistan are completely in to Indian films and Indian film music. It totally sucks.

Agree with you standard. We are totally unprofessional and lack disipline. Its just not the film industry but our whole nation lives like this. This is why we are in the mess we are. Pakistan main sab number 2 kam hota hai.

Very impressed with Hum TV so far. A lot of emphasis on Style and Fashion. Also saw the trailor of Pehla Pehla Pyar. What can I say just wicked. Loved the way the trailor PPP has been put together.

From timeless classics, all-time blockbuster hits, sassy inteviews and sneak previews, to a host of purely film-oriented shows and discussion programmes, Filmazia aspires to present everything that is Lollywood. Said to be the first, round-the-clock Lollywood-based satellite channel, Filmazia had a grand press launch, Monday afternoon, at a local five-star, which was followed by a sumptuous hi-tea.
Led by Chairman, Filmazia, Khalid Pervaiz Sheikh, President Arif Ullah Khan, Vice President Qaisar Ullah Khan and Director Productions, Rukhsana Noor, the event was a modestly attended affair, with not many people from the film industry turning up on the occasion, except for Syed Noor, Mian Amjad Farzand Ali and Sarwar Bhatti.
A project of Dubai-based company, Media Dimensions, Filmazia "started as a dream about 24 months ago," to quote Mr Arif Ullah, "I've been living abroad, and I noticed that within the Pakistani community there was a growing demand for films made in Pakistan. So, when an opportunity like this came by, I simply jumped to it." Addressing the ceremony, Mr Khalid Sheikh said that the channel "will take you along the journey of cinema as you re-live the hype, rediscover the magic and mysticism that was associated with the Pakistani film industry when it first took off but for some reason got lost on the way." Filmazia, he said, was "a modest endeavour to check the ever declining standard of Lollywood and to promote our films."
Talking about the kind of feedback he got from the film industry itself, Mr Khalid Sheikh said, "Initially we got a mixed response. But, generally speaking, we were lucky to have some of the most influential people in the industry believe in us and offer to help us."
He also revealed that in order to counter the technical problems they were faced with when dealing with bad quality software, they imported the state-of-art machinery and technology from Hollywood. "Most of the old tapes and reels have already been converted into digital format," he said.
Mian Amjad Farzand Ali said that he would "always feel bad to see the violation of PEMRA rules on cable networks. With an official channel like Filmazia, I hope we'll be able to deal with the problem of piracy. "In the presence of a horde of Bollywood channels, Filmazia is a commendable effort. I am sure it will prove to be a landmark."
Syed Noor reached the mike looking rather sedate and serious. "In this day and age when all media is promoting Bollywood, neglecting our own stars and our own film industry, Filmazia has come forward to help us. We should all get together and help this channel. "I must, at this point, say that I am all help for this channel!" Noor's glorious declaration met with a big round of applause from the crowd present on the occasion.
President, Cable Association, Captain Jabbar congratulated the Filmazia people, saying, "They will have all possible support from us." Talking to the news men later in the evening, Rukhsana Noor revealed that Syed Noor was planning another film-based channel on the heels of Filmazia, which would be an international channel and promote Lollywood big time.
"Mark my words! The year 2005 is going to be the revolutionary year for Lollywood!" she declared.

From Dubai's majestic Safari desert and exotic Jhumeira Beach to Eagle House, Bangkok, where a number of Hollywood films have been shot, Mubasher Lucman's debut directorial venture, Pehla Pehla Pyar promises a visual treat. Also, because it is filmed on latest ARRI cameras and with some valuable technical and creative help from Bollywood cinematographer, Amir Ali, choreographer, Jojo, and (all told!) music composer, Anu Malik.
Eventually, you get over half a dozen ditties that sound pleasing to the ears as much as they look appealing on screen. At least, they are worth a second dekko.
Launching a full-blooded publicity campaign, Mubasher held a special press showing of Pehla…'s promos, at Depilex, Lahore, Tuesday afternoon, which was a modestly attended affair, with leading lady Resham, standing tall - literally - alongside 6-plus-footer, hero Ali Tabish, and the film's dialogue and screenplay writer, Mr Ali Sufiyan Afaqi. Zara Sheikh, who plays the second lead, was conspicuous by her absence.
Of course, Mubasher made a gregarious master of ceremonies, and provided some competent insight into Pehla…, before finally playing the promos that, he said, had been prepared especially to suit the television audience. "They concentrate more on music, while the promos prepared for theatre include dialogues as well." Mubasher told newsmen that he would be flying off to Bangkok where the film was in its final stage of mixing. He did not give a date for release, but hinted at the possibility of a pre-Eid ul Azha premiere.
He also said that negotiations were on with distributors for the film's international release.
Pehla…also marks Depilex's first foray into film production.

Well I am surprised because I have read another review of Hum Aik Hain in Akbare-Jehan and that is very positive.
Well nowadays Syed Noor only has two things on his mind which are money and SAIMA.
He is the same director who made films like Jeeva, Sangham, Sargham, Ghunghat, Hawaain, Zever, Deewanay Teray Pyar Kay, Muhafiz, Choorian, Daku Rani and other films.
